Since its opening in the year 2000, Canton Charter Academy (CCA), has received many awards. CCA received an “A” on both the elementary and middle school Michigan School Report Card.
- CCA received the prestigious 2006 Charter School of Excellence Award from MAPSA.
- CCA was featured in a Detroit News article in December about charter schools.
- One student qualified for the state Geography Bee and one student placed third in the NHA Regional Spelling Bee.
- CCA has outstanding parent satisfaction surveys with one of the highest waiting lists in the state.
- The school was ranked the number two charter school for MEAP Proficiency in 2007, with just a tenth of a point separating CCA from the number one school.
- CCA was awarded the "Partnership for Learning Family Friendly School" Award.
- Annually, as many as 40 students are selected as Great Lake Scholars.
